Atwal top ranked putter on USPGA Tour
NEW DELHI: In another first for Indian golf, Arjun Atwal leapt to the top of the putting average list on the USPGA Tour. Atwal displaced American Ben Crane from the top slot with an average of 1.701 putts per hole in the 53 rounds that he has played on the Tour this season. The Indian is also ranked an impressive fourth on the Birdies Average list averaging 4.13 birdies per round.

Atwal finishes 59th in Reno Tahoe Open
Reno: Arjun Atwal fired a two-over 74 on the final day for a combined total of one-under 287 as he finished the USD 3 million Reno Tahoe Open in 59th place. Atwal, who was placed tied 44th at the end of day three, started the final day on a bright note with a birdie and ended with an eagle but in between had a poor back nine which saw him finish the day way behind on the leaderboard at the Montreux Golf and Country Club.

Arjun Atwal to play in USPGA Championships
For Arjun Atwal it is the icing on the cake. After having made the cut in all 12 tournaments on the PGA Tour this year, Atwal will become the first Indian to compete in the US PGA Championships - the year's fourth and final golf Major on Thursday, 11-14 August at the Balsturol Golf Club in New Jersey.

Shiv invited to play in Zurich Open Pro-Am
Shiv Kapur, the 2002 Asian Games gold medalist, made headlines yet again when he became the only Indian to have received an invitation to play in the prestigious Zurich Open Pro-Am. The Zurich Open will be played on August 15-16 at Schonenberg Golf Club, near Zurich.
