Brief History: A century old club, the KGF is was instituted by the British for the BGML (Gold Mining Company) way back in 1885. The golf course, the fourth oldest in India, was restricted only for BGML employees / officers till as recently as 2001, when it was opened up to the public to promote the sport as well as to tap the abundance of golfing talent in the area.
Description: A picturesque golf course, the KGF is located in hilly terrain. A natural course, located in the midst of a forest, the facility has browns constructed of river sand in place of greens. A beautiful club house built out of teak wood greets the golfer upon entering the premises. The course as such is an undulating one with deep nullahs criss-crossing the fairways. These fairways are lined by innumerable trees many of which come into play, testing golfing skills to the hilt. The weather is brilliant here all year around with thick fog and chilly winds highlighting winter rounds. The presence of spotted deer, wild boars and rabbits adds to the enchantment.
Signature Hole: 4th. Long hole, with nullahs criss-crossing the fairway. The hole is hidden, thereby making accuracy off the tee paramount to success.
