Sahara India Pariwar, the biggest patron of Indian sport, has now acquired the title sponsorship rights to the Indian PGA Golf Tour. Amby Valley Sahara Lake City, India's ultimate living and golfing destination, announced its decision to take on the umbrella sponsorship of the Tour for a three-year period. The Tour is now titled the 'Amby Valley PGAI Tour'.

The Tour includes a minimum of 20 tournaments with a guaranteed sum of Rs 3.05 crores as prize money and will be played not just across the length and breadth of India, but also transcend international boundaries into Nepal and Bangladesh, and for the first time ever, Sri Lanka.

The PGAI Tour has spread its wings from Srinagar to Colombo, from Dhaka to Mumbai, and is the richest domestic circuit among all sports in the country today. Amby Valley's umbrella sponsorship of the Tour would contribute immensely to the golfing boom in India. The Tour, which is regarded as one of the most prominent domestic golf Tours in Asia, has also increasingly attracted foreign participation. This year, in addition to players from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal, top players from Pakistan would also be competing for the prize money.
